Periodontal diseases are inflammatory diseases that affect the gums and other tissues that support the teeth. These diseases can be easily and successfully treated when diagnosed early. Although gum disease is a disease that affects the majority of our society; it is a disease that has very little information about its causes, results and treatment and progresses insidiously. Preventing or treating gum disease; In addition to protecting natural teeth, it also brings other benefits such as providing more comfortable chewing and better digestion. Healthy gums are slightly rough like an orange peel, have a smooth border with the tooth and are pink in color. Healthy gums do not bleed when brushing or eating. Periodontal diseases begin with gingivitis. In other words, gingivitis is the early stage of periodontal disease. During this period, the gums are bleeding, red and enlarged in volume. It may not cause much discomfort in the early stage. If left untreated, the disease can progress to periodontitis and cause irreversible damage to the gums and alveolar bone that supports the teeth.

Recession in the gums and sensitivity on the exposed root surfaces,

Black areas seen on the edges of the gums or between the teeth due to tartar,

Inflammation coming from between the tooth and the gum,

Loosing, lengthening, displacement of the teeth,

Bad smell and taste in the mouth.
